Cape Town Collections
Roads where the driving is the point, cut into cliffs above the Atlantic and running along the mountains of False Bay.
Cape Town is a city you can understand from the driver’s seat. The peninsula is narrow enough that the roads are forced hard against the coast or up over the mountains, and the result is a handful of routes worth more than whatever you were driving towards.
The three below are the ones worth taking for their own sake, and one of them is tolled and prone to closing in bad weather. The other two in the collection are quieter routes that locals use as shortcuts and visitors rarely find.
