Overview
Uva Mira Mountain Vineyards occupies an extraordinary position high on the Helderberg above Stellenbosch. Mountain slopes, ancient soils and cooling air from False Bay shape elegant wines with freshness, purity and a distinctive sense of place.
The intimate tasting room looks across False Bay, Table Bay and Table Mountain, giving visitors one of the Cape Winelands' most memorable combinations of fine wine and mountain scenery.
Mountain Terroir
Uva Mira's vineyards rise across the Helderberg, with key blocks planted on elevated slopes of decomposed granite. The estate lies about nine kilometres from False Bay, where maritime breezes and cooler conditions help preserve natural acidity and extend ripening.
Wines of Elegance
The estate produces two principal ranges. The Mira Collection presents six varietal wines, while the limited Icon Collection explores the finest expressions of the mountain site. Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Franc are particular highlights.
The Uva Mira Experience
Visitors can choose from The Mira Collection Tasting, a dedicated Cabernet Franc Experience and the Icon Tasting. Artisanal platters are available, but Uva Mira does not operate a full-service restaurant.
Visiting the Estate
Bookings are recommended, especially at weekends. Allow time for the mountain approach, a relaxed tasting and the panoramic views. Arrange reliable return transport in advance because ride-hailing services can be unreliable at the farm.
