Nestled on the western slopes of Simonsberg Mountain near Klapmuts, Niel Joubert Wines is a fifth-generation family-owned wine estate known for warm hospitality, award-winning wines and an authentic working-farm atmosphere.
The estate combines traditional farming values with modern winemaking. Vineyards share the property with orchards of apples, pears, peaches, plums, citrus and blueberries, creating one of the Cape Winelands' most diverse agricultural settings.
Family Heritage
The Joubert family has owned Klein Simonsvlei since 1898 and continues to manage it independently into the fifth generation. The Niel Joubert Wines name was introduced in 1994 in honour of the third-generation family patriarch and father of the present owner, Daan Joubert.
Farm & Terroir
Set on the outskirts of Paarl, the farm stretches across the Simonsberg slopes with five hills and ten dams fed by a natural mountain spring. Varied soils and reliable water support both vineyards and a wide range of fruit orchards.
Wine Portfolio
Niel Joubert produces Estate, Lifestyle, Christine Marié and Reserve collections. The portfolio ranges from fresh Sauvignon Blanc and Rosé to Cap Classique, richly textured reserve whites and cellar-worthy reds such as Shiraz and Tempranillo.
