The Loerie is the short one at Storms River Mouth, and the one to do if you have an hour before dinner or a day that has already been spent on the suspension bridge. It is 1 km and about an hour, and it is rated Easy.
It leaves the rest camp and climbs through coastal forest, the same dense wet forest the longer Blue Duiker route runs through, before coming out on the plateau above at the Agulhas lookout point. That is the reward: the sea from height, after twenty minutes of trees.
A note on the name. SANParks spells it Loerie on its trails page and Lourie in the park brochure, so you will see both on signage and in print. It is one walk, not two. The path is a forest climb rather than a stroll, so wear something with grip.
