Hooked on Africa runs deep sea charters from Berth 1 in Hout Bay harbour. The full day tuna trip leaves at half past six and fishes until three, with one to two hours of steaming out depending on what the sea is doing. Tackle, food and drink are aboard and the boat has a toilet. Tuna season runs roughly November to May. Through the winter the same boats run pelagic birding trips instead.
