Cape Canopy Tour takes small groups deep into the Hottentots Holland Nature Reserve for a guided zipline experience above mountain valleys, waterfalls and fynbos. A 4x4 transfer carries guests into the reserve before the course begins.
Cape Canopy Tour operates inside the Hottentots Holland Nature Reserve near Grabouw. Groups of up to nine guests head onto the course with two guides after travelling into the mountains by 4x4.
The route combines 11 zipline slides with 13 elevated platforms and a suspension bridge spanning a double waterfall. The longest slide measures 320 metres. Helmet, harness and braking equipment are fitted on site, and the full experience takes about four and a half hours for a group.
The experience requires a moderate level of fitness and includes a 1 km hike out of the mountain after the tour. Children from age five can participate. Children aged five to nine usually ride tandem with a guide, with tandem participation limited to guests under 50 kg. The general participant weight limit is around 100 to 110 kg, depending on harness fit. Advance booking and pre-payment are required.
