Guided E-Bike Tours, Ebike Cape Town

Pedal assist turns Cape Town’s hills into scenery, from the Bo-Kaap to Chapman’s Peak.

Guided tours on Giant pedal-assist e-bikes with Ebike Cape Town. Four routes cover the city bowl and Atlantic seaboard, the Chapman’s Peak coast, the Constantia green belt and the Stellenbosch winelands.

Cape Town is hilly, which is exactly why an e-bike works here. Pedal assist carries you up Table Mountain’s service road and over the Constantia slopes without the effort that would otherwise rule those routes out, and you still ride slowly enough to see things.

The half-day city tour is the flagship: about forty kilometres over roughly four hours, from Foregate Square through the Bo-Kaap and Oranjezicht, up to the Cableway and along the face of Table Mountain, then down through pine forest to Camps Bay and the seaboard promenade. The coastal route runs fifty-two kilometres from Maiden’s Cove over Chapman’s Peak to Noordhoek, the Constantia green belt is a shorter twenty-nine, and there is a Stellenbosch and Jonkershoek route in the winelands.

Groups never exceed eight riders. A guide, a Giant e-bike fitted to you, a helmet, a high-visibility vest and water are included. Parts of the routes run on bicycle paths and parts on roads open to traffic, so road-riding confidence matters more here than fitness does.
