Langa is the oldest of the townships and the walk Siviwe Tours runs through it covers four distinct housing areas, from the worker hostels built under apartheid to the informal settlements and the newer homes. It starts at the Guga S thebe cultural centre and takes two to two and a half hours. There is usually music and gumboot dancing from the Happy Feet Youth Project along the way. Siviwe Mbinda grew up in Langa and the walks support the youth project he founded. You can drive yourself or arrange to be collected.
