Overview
Longridge occupies the lower slopes of the Helderberg outside Stellenbosch, with vineyards looking across False Bay towards Table Mountain. The estate is recognised for organic and biodynamic farming, naturally fermented wines and an unhurried tasting experience shaped by the landscape.
Visitors can explore the estate and ultra-premium wine ranges, enjoy seasonal family-style dining at Rykaart's, or settle on the lawn as the light changes over the vineyards and bay.
Biodynamic Farming
Longridge approaches the farm as a living ecosystem. Free-roaming ducks, Nguni cattle, owl houses, compost, natural preparations and solar energy all form part of a holistic system designed to work with nature and protect the health of the soil.
Natural Winemaking
The estate wines are naturally fermented without commercial yeast, enzymes or fining agents, and are bottled without filtration. This low-intervention approach allows Helderberg fruit, decomposed granite soils and cooling False Bay breezes to remain central to each wine.
Rykaart's at Longridge
Rykaart's serves a seasonal three-course menu family-style, using produce grown on the biodynamic farm and sourced from nearby growers. The relaxed format is designed for sharing and works naturally alongside Longridge wines.
Visiting the Estate
The Wine Lounge offers estate and ultra-premium tastings throughout the week, with longer summer hours from Wednesday to Saturday. Reserve ahead for structured tastings and Rykaart's, then allow extra time to enjoy the sunset lawn and panoramic False Bay views.
