On the scenic slopes of Paarl Mountain, Fairview Wine & Cheese is one of South Africa’s most recognisable wine estates. Famous for its award-winning wines, artisan cheeses and iconic Goat Tower, it offers a fun and unique Cape Winelands experience for wine lovers, food enthusiasts and families alike.
Established as a working farm more than 300 years ago, Fairview has grown into one of the country’s leading producers of wine and speciality cheese, pioneering South Africa’s first commercial goat’s milk cheesery and creating the internationally recognised Goats do Roam range.
The Goats
Fairview opened South Africa’s first commercial goat’s milk cheesery in 1980. Its resident goats inspired the famous Goat Tower and, after some escaped into the vineyards, the playful Goats do Roam wine label.
