City Sightseeing Cape Town works as a sightseeing network rather than a single guided trip. The Red City Tour takes about 90 minutes for a complete circuit, the Blue Mini Peninsula route about 140 minutes, and the Purple Wine Tour about 30 minutes. All ticket types include access to all three routes.
Visitors can hop on and off at more than 30 official stops. The main terminals at the V&A Waterfront, outside the Two Oceans Aquarium, and at 81 Long Street are particularly useful for ticketing and visitor information, but it is not necessary to begin at either one.
Tickets are sold in one, two and three-day options, with the longer passes including additional experiences such as the Sunset Bus Tour and cruises. Passes are valid by calendar day rather than for 24-hour periods, so the time of day you first use the ticket matters.
