Overview

The Blue Duiker is the middle option at Storms River Mouth: longer than the hour-long Loerie, far shorter than the Waterfall Trail, and entirely inside the forest above the camp. It is 3.7 km over about two hours, circular, so you come back to where you parked.

It climbs off the camp into Tsitsikamma coastal forest and works its way round to finish near the Oceanettes, at the point where the Otter Trail begins. It is a slightly longer version of the Loerie Trail: same forest, more of it.

The name is the reason to walk quietly. Blue duiker are the smallest antelope in the region, and this forest is one of the places they still hold on. Take the two hours as the measure and wear something with grip; forest paths here stay damp.
