Polkadraai Farm is a family-focused farm destination outside Stellenbosch, best known for pick-your-own strawberries from September to January. Beyond the fields, visitors can spend time on the playground, mini golf, pedal karts, tractor rides, pony rides and the farm’s other activities.
Strawberry picking is the seasonal centrepiece at Polkadraai Farm, with the fields open from September to January when conditions allow. Each person entering the fields purchases a picking container, and most visitors spend around 20 to 30 minutes filling it.
The farm offers more than strawberry picking. Family activities include mini golf, pedal karts, tractor rides, pony rides, a bike park and separate playground areas for younger and older children. The toddler section is designed for ages one to five, while the junior section caters for ages five to twelve, with adult supervision required.
Because strawberry availability depends on the season and weather, the picking experience can change from day to day. The wider farm remains a year-round family stop, with food and other activities available beyond the strawberry season.
