A light-filled all-day cafe on the corner of Church and Ryneveld, running from breakfast through to evening pizza. Walk-ins only, and busy for good reason.
Meraki has a reasonable claim to being the prettiest room in Stellenbosch — high light, plants, pale wood, and a bakery counter that pulls people in off Church Street. It runs from seven in the morning until nine at night, which makes it one of the few places in town able to handle breakfast, a working coffee, a late lunch and an early pizza without changing character.
There are no bookings. Walk in, take what is free, and expect it to be busy at the obvious hours — mid-morning at the weekend is the peak. The kitchen leans fresh and homemade rather than clever, and it is all the better for it.
