Hot Yoga Stellenbosch

A hot yoga studio in central Stellenbosch you can walk into without booking.

Every class at Hot Yoga Stellenbosch is taught in a heated, humid room in the De Wet Centre in the middle of town. A drop-in covers one session and the studio states that no booking is needed, and there is a one-week unlimited pass aimed at travellers.

Hot Yoga Stellenbosch is in the De Wet Centre in the middle of town, on the corner of Bird and Church Streets, next door to Kauai. Every class is taught in a heated, humid room, which loosens the body quickly and makes the practice as much about managing your breathing as about the postures.

For a visitor the useful thing is how simple the access is. The studio sells a drop-in valid for one session, and it says in plain words that no booking is required — you can turn up for a class. That is unusual enough among Cape Town studios to be worth stating.

If you are in the Winelands for longer, there is a five-session pack, a monthly unlimited option, and a one-week unlimited pass the studio calls its Traveller's Special, which is aimed squarely at people passing through.

Booking online through the studio's system is available but entirely optional, and payment can be made by card, SnapScan or cash at the studio.

The room runs hot, so bring water and expect to sweat rather than to stretch gently.
