The layout is nine holes with eleven greens. Four extra greens were added for the club’s centenary, so the second nine plays differently from the first over the same ground, and the club gives the full round a par of 72.
Booking is by phone. The club says an online system is coming, but for now the number on its site is the only route, and it is open seven days a week.

The course
Golf has been played here since 1908, in the heart of the Boland, with the surrounding mountains visible from most parts of the course. The club describes it simply as well manicured rather than reaching for a grander framing.
Hours run from seven to five in summer and eight to four in winter, with the bar open from seven until late.
Playing Wellington Golf Club as a visitor
The club extends what it calls a special welcome to visitors, and publishes separate affiliated and non-affiliated visitor rates, each split by senior, student and junior and priced for both eighteen and nine holes.
Golf carts are priced separately for members and visitors and should be booked with your tee time. Caddies exist but the club describes them as limited, so ask when you book. Certified PGA instructors are available for lessons.
Two standing offers are published: a weekday morning special on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and a Monday pensioner rate.
