The club’s visitor booking policy names its public days as Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday morning, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Saturday is absent from the list, and Wednesday afternoon is not on offer.
Booking is the weak point. The club publishes no booking link on its own site, and the platform it names is not currently serving visitor bookings, so the pro shop phone line and the golf manager’s email are the practical route in.

The course
Eighteen holes, par 72, which the club puts at more than 6,000 metres from the tips. A parkland layout originally by Bob Grimsdell, with tree-lined fairways, small greens, more than forty bunkers, and the Black and Vygekraal rivers crossing the lower holes.
A nine-hole green fee is sold on the same course, so a genuine half round is an option rather than needing a separate short venue. Golf has been played on the site for more than 120 years.
Playing Rondebosch Golf Club as a visitor
Public bookings open at midday fifteen days ahead and require no pre-payment. Forward bookings between fifteen days and three months out are possible on visitor days, invoiced on request and confirmed on payment.
The rate card is headed 2026 and separates visitor, senior, junior, student under 25, PGA professional and member’s guest categories, along with pay-to-play tiers. It does not price by affiliation status.
Practice, carts and what is on site
There is a driving range with coaching and a practice putting green overlooked by the clubhouse veranda, plus a pro shop, clubhouse food and drink, Wi-Fi and parking.
Golf carts are booked by telephone and come with a cut-off: no cart is issued after half past one for eighteen holes, or quarter past three for nine.
