Yo Yoga

A hot yoga studio in Observatory with single-class and short-stay passes.

Yo Yoga teaches Hot 26, hot hatha and heated vinyasa from Black River Park on the edge of Observatory. A single class can be bought on its own, and one-week and two-week unlimited passes are priced for a short stay rather than a membership.

Yo Yoga is a hot yoga studio on the ground floor of the Old Warehouse Building in Black River Park, the office campus on the edge of Observatory. It is an easy stop between the city and the southern suburbs, with parking on site rather than on the street.

The timetable is built around heat. Hot 26 follows the fixed sequence of postures done in a hot room, hot hatha works more slowly through held shapes, and heated vinyasa flows continuously. The heat loosens the body quickly, which is why a first hot class often feels easier on the joints and harder on the lungs than an unheated one.

A single class pass is sold on its own, so nothing has to be committed to. For a visitor the more interesting options are the one-week and two-week unlimited passes, which are priced for someone who wants to practise most days of a short stay rather than once.

Booking runs through the studio's own online schedule, where you create an account, buy the pass you want and then reserve individual classes.

Mats and towels can be rented at the studio, which matters more here than at an unheated studio.
