Booking here is a request rather than a confirmed slot. The estate’s form takes your date, time, number of players, number of carts and whether you want nine or eighteen holes, and sends it to the pro shop, which confirms afterwards. The pro shop line and email are quicker if your date is tight.
Saturday carries its own separate and higher rate, so it is worth checking which column your date falls into before you commit.

The course
Eighteen holes, par 72, published at 5,705 metres for men and 4,993 for women. The original layout is by Ken Elkin, and the estate describes a tree-lined, curving course with sweeping fairways, a herd of springbok on the property and notable bird life.
The estate leans deliberately away from the championship framing, calling it a true country course, fun to play. That said, it lists a tournament history including the SA Ladies Open, Sunshine Tour events, provincial and interprovincial tournaments, Ernie Els Foundation events and SA Open qualifiers.
Playing Devonvale as a visitor
Green fees are split into associated and non-associated rates for both visitors and member guests, with further tiers for lodge guests, students, scholars and tour operators booking and paying in advance. Both nine and eighteen-hole rounds are priced.
Rental clubs, pull trolleys and golf carts are all published at visitor rates through the pro shop.
What is on site
A four-star hotel, the Chez Shiraz restaurant with views over the course and vineyards, a pool, a halfway house with a terraced bar and lounge, change rooms and a pro shop that sells estate wines alongside golf accessories.
The driving range is charged per thirty balls, and there is a practice area with private and group lessons from the resident PGA professional.
