The club provides an official online visitor booking page. It states that the displayed and processed green fee is the non-affiliated visitor rate and that completed online payments are final and non-adjustable.
The club does not publish a blanket weekend visitor rule on its visitor booking or rates pages. Check the live booking page or contact the bookings team before planning a Saturday or Sunday round, because availability can vary.

The course
Eighteen holes playing to a par of 72, which the club calls a tight par 72 with a testing mix of interesting holes and elevated greens. Two pronounced dog-legs open the round and the ground is mostly flat after that, with the Silvermine Stream and other water in play on the 4th, 5th, 15th and 17th, and an uphill approach to an elevated green to finish.
The layout backtracks on itself, so a steady wind is with you and against you in the same round. Three tee sets are marked by colour, and unusually the yellow markers are the longest set rather than the white. Designed by Dr CM Murray with Mr R Grimsdale, eighteen holes were complete by 1933 and the club opened formally in 1934.
Playing Clovelly Golf Club as a visitor
The club is registered as Clovelly Country Club and trades on the web as Clovelly Golf Club, so both names refer to the same place.
Booking online charges the non-affiliated visitor rate, which the club states explicitly. Affiliated, member’s guest, student and junior rates sit on the published rate card instead. Payment is taken at booking and the club describes it as final and non-adjustable.
Green fees are banded by season across high, mid and low periods, and nine-hole rates split again either side of three in the afternoon.
Hire, caddies and practice
A caddie fee is a standing line on the visitor rate card, and the club describes a strong team of caddies. Cart hire and pull trolleys are priced separately for visitors and members. Club hire is listed as a service but its rate currently reads as still to be confirmed.
There is a driving range with range-ball rates for visitors, coaching by the resident PGA professionals, and the Raymond Ackerman Golf Academy youth programme. Bobby’s Bar serves food and wine at the clubhouse.
